I am using Samsung galaxy S III which is running android 4.1.2.I need to setup VPN on my android phone using a PPTP connection.Therefore, i need a short guide of setting up Astaro vpn tunnel android for my galaxy s III phone.

VPN creates a private session between your device and the server. I will list down the steps below how to setup Astaro PPTP VPN tunnel to your Samsung Galaxy S III.

Go to ‘Settings’ on your phone and select ‘More’.

Select ‘VPN’ and then select ‘Add VPN Network’.

Enter the VPN information here.

For ‘Name’ select any name for your liking and for ‘Type’ select PPTP.

For the Server Address enter the IP Address of your VPN server.

Also remember to check the ‘PPP Encryption (MPPE)’ check box and click on ‘Save’.

Now you will see a new connection Under VPN and select it.

It will now prompt for a username and a password give your account user name and PPTP password.

Check ‘Save account information’ check box and tap ‘Connect’ to start your VPN connection.
