We are currently faced by this situation in our work station where we get almost a thousand error messages only on one server. The computers on which these printers are connected are not even running yet we get the error messages in the Event Viewer stating that a certain driver required for a particular driver could not be found. The administrator has to be contacted before re-attempting to login. These errors are affecting everyone at work and I have been unable to figure it out so please help.

Well, the server could be missing some important drivers that are responsible for causing the error messages that you are getting and it is important that you troubleshoot. You will need to do the following:

  • On the server, click on start, and then go to My Computer.
  • Right click on in and then choose System Properties.
  • In the window that will open, click on Device Manager.
  • In the Device Manager window, you will need to check which drivers are missing; normally they will have a yellow exclamation mark or a yellow question mark.
  • With the computer connected to the internet, right click on each one of them and then update them online.
