Hello, buddies!

Is anyone here familiar with Group Policies and the OfficeScan server? Our company is deciding whether we'd want to push through installing the server or not. One of our unanswered questions is, what security choices in Group Policies are also required by the OfficeScan server?

We need your help on this. Thanks in advance!

Security choices in Group Policies required by OfficeScan

Dear Zoegordon

In the support page of trendmicro webpage, under the Active Directory permissions part, An answer to the question: "What Security Options in Group Policies are additionally needed by the OfficeScan server?" is: If your OfficeScan servers are integrated with the AD, the users in AD can be imported and can log in to the OfficeScan server console. Only the users in the OfficeScan database can access the server console. Therefore the NTLM and/or Kerberos authentication are not supported in OfficeScan version 10.5.

Also, the permission of a server does not relate to a user. All the AD queries in OfficeScan are performed by the OfficeScan AD integration service and it logs on as "Network Service" account.

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck
