There are different versions of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 but here is one, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 tablet supports GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS. It is a 3G device operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies. It was unveiled and released on May 2012.

It measures 256.6 x 175.3 x 9.7 millimeters and weighs 588 grams. It uses a mini-SIM card. It has PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 800 x 1280 pixels screen resolution. It supports multi-touch protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with TouchWiz UX UI support.

It runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean powered by TI OMAP 4430 chipset, Dual Core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 32 GB. It runs on 1 GB RAM with internal storage available in the following capacities: 16 GB and 32 GB.

If Samsung did lower down the price for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, I think it’s because of the Chinese principle when doing business. When Chinese do business, they don’t think of bigger profit. Their aim is to sell many even if the profit is small. When you sell it lower, many people will be able to afford it therefore giving them the opportunity to buy the product.

Then when many people start buying your product, that’s when the profit comes in. More and more people starts buying your product because of the affordable price giving you a steady flow of the profit. All Chinese businessmen do this.
