Samsung edge-advantages and disadvantages and effects of curved screen

I am currently thinking of getting a Samsung edge. Firstly what are the main advantages of a Samsung edge over the Samsung note 3? Also what does a curve screen bring in terms of ease of access for the phone? Is the curved screen an extension of the screen or does it work separately?

Hi,Christa T Perkins S3 note VS S4 note the main advantage of over S3 note are the Following Dimension, Display, AP, Memory, Network, Camera, Connectivity, Battery, Audio, S Pen, Sensor. Samsung made some major changes of the Edge its a screen display that also has a touch sensor, that integrated with the main screen. The edge of the S4 Note can work separately its usable function if your using a cover you don't need to open the flip cover just to see whose massage or call by the side by the edge you can see it already and read. The incoming massage this is good when you are in a meeting.
