What is the most secure way of downloading and saving a You Tube video clip? Is it safe to use savevid or is there a better option to save videos to my PC? What is the best format to save the clips in?

Safest way to download a You Tube video.

YouTube is most one and only most popular website for watching videos. Most of the people use this site to search their video. There have a large and strong collection of videos on that site. However, most of the videos are copyrighted so it is not necessary to download any videos without the owner's permission. I will suggest you never to use any downloader to download youtube videos, simply ask the video owner for a copy of the video you want. Techyv doesn't allow using any illegal tools or ways for downloading copyrighted videos.

There are lots of ways available on the internet by which you can download YouTube videos for your devices. But the 2 most safest and trusted ways are below- 

1. Download Realplayer Video Downloader. This will allow you to download any video from YouTube. After installing it, when you watch your video, a prompt screen will occur – DOWNLOAD THIS VIDEO. If you click that, you can successfully download the video you wish to.

2. Modify the video link. Just replace the (www.) portion of the link with (ss). Example – the link is www.Youtube.Com/watch.*********. You have to modify the link to ssyoutube.Com/watch.*******. This will take you to the download page and you can choose the format and the video will be downloaded.

The best formats are FLV or AVI for system and for mobile devices, it is MP4.
