Why I am not able to connect remotely using TeamViewer? It prompts a failure box protocol negotiation failed TeamViewer mac. How to fix this problem?

There can be many reasons for the failure of negotiation.

To resolve this issue:

1. Restart the app. Restart the service by going to services in control panel.

2. Stop the firewall.

3. Prevent/Exclude the software folder from antivirus scanning.

4. Stop Intrusion Prevention System.

5. Remove the app and install it again.

Resolve Protocol Negotiation Failed TeamViewer Mac Fault

If you want to connect to a remote computer using TeamViewer, you need to make sure first that the TeamViewer application is also running on the other machine. If the application is not running on the other machine, you cannot connect remotely. You need to ask someone to start the program for you to connect.

Once both computers are running TeamViewer, the next thing you require is the ID and password. Without these credentials, establishing a connection is not possible. You need to get the correct TeamViewer ID and password from the computer to successfully connect. If you are sure the credentials are correct but you still cannot connect, try reinstalling TeamViewer. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware 2.0.0.

Follow the instructions to download and unpack and then install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller, select TeamViewer from the list, and click “Uninstall”. Follow the instructions. After this, restart your computer then download and install CCleaner. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. Next, download the latest TeamViewer then install it. Enter your account then try connecting again.
