Hi Experts, I received an error message while converting Microsoft Publisher files with Acrobat 9. A Few days ago, I upgraded it to Adobe Acrobat X. It says, "adobe PDF printer is not bound to adobe PDF port". However, after throwing the error message Adobe stops working and close automatically. How can I get a remedy on this issue? Please help.

Hi James!

Here is what you should do.

  1. Go to Start.
  2. Click on Control Panel.
  3. Go to Printers. You may also go to View Devices and Printers, depending on the view settings of the Control Panel.
  4. Select and Right-click on Adobe PDF.
  5. Click on Properties.
  6. Click on the Ports tab.
  7. Check Desktop*.pdf or Documents*.pdf boxes, and make sure that the description is Adobe PDF Port.
  8. Uncheck the other box/boxes.
  9. Click on OK.

This should fix the issue.
