The introduction of Apps after Yahoo Messenger has made Y! Messenger less of a go-to App. Is there any reason for this fact? Why are Yahoo Messenger online tablet users few?

Reason for Few Yahoo Messenger Users for Tablet

The concept of yahoo messenger has been taken to a new height by skype, facebook and tablet/ smartphone chat applications like whatsapp, nimbuzz, ebuddy, we chat, wnm live, chat on, bbm etc. These applications integrate with your contact list and works. Some app works on gps locations where an user can find another user nearby in unit of distance.

Whereas yahoo messenger requires an user to register and look to add friends in your contact list. This process is outdated and users are few.
