Random Issues on Sending and Receiving MMS Messages with Rogers

Hello Experts,

I can’t send or receive picture message via MMS. It worked for a few days then stopped. There are times where the MMS is received hours later after I sent it to the recipient. On occasions if I restart my phone I would receive a MMS, but this is very inconvenient.

My carrier, Rogers, recommends that I restore the phone back to factory setting to test it. If successful, I could use my backup to restore the phone. Restoring from original, the MMS works, however to restore from back up it stopped working. I am ok restoring to factory setting but i do not want o lose all that have saved.

Please help me.

Random Issues on Sending and Receiving MMS Messages with Rogers

First of all, the problem which you are facing can be eradicated by a couple of ways other than restoring to factory settings.

1. If you receive the MMS from some one who sends it you in your presence, then I recommend you to look for any dead-spot of your cell phone. Many cell phones have a dead spot where the network connection is very delicate. If you place any obstruction between the electromagnetic medium (air in this case) and the dead-spot, then you won't be able to access the network.

2. The first case wouldn't work in most of the cases. Before receiving an MMS, make sure that your phone memory is sufficient enough to contain that MMS. Multi-tasking is what you need to check. If you have a phone that offers multi-tasking, then obviously you need to shut down the unneeded running programs and then try the MMS sharing.

Now, if restoring to factory settings is all what is left, better be prepared with a backup of all important files. Use your computer for storing the backup files. You cannot select specific important applications when you backup using your cell phone. So go for your pc. It will help for sure. These three are the best working solutions for your problem.
