Bayazid88,

Hello,

the frequent problem faced is during installation of the Windows CE tools when there are latest versions of Visual Studio already installed on Windows 7. This is the reason there will be no problems on a fresh Windows 7 system. But this error might be occurring most probably on Windows system with latest software updates. Hence if there is an error during installing windows CE, just uninstall the latest releases of visual studios as an administrator. Install VS2005 as administrator or as user with administration privileges and then install Windows CE. Now ensure that the Windows CE system is installed completely by building a simple OS Design.

It appears that your present operating system, Windows 7, is not supported by Windows Embedded CE 6.0. It only works on Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, Windows XP Service Pack 2, and Windows Vista. Since there is no way of installing it on your computer, you may want to consider changing your operating system to any of the operating systems mentioned above.

The version I found on the web is Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 but this doesn’t affect the operating system they support. The only difference is that this version requires a licensed copy of Windows Embedded 6.0 and also a licensed copy of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, excluding Express edition. To learn more about Windows Embedded CE 6.0, you may visit Microsoft | Download Center | Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2.
