Problem regarding McAfee antivirus protection

Hi!

How do I temporarily turn off McAfee Antivirus protection and turn it on again for printer software installation. 

 

I'm using a Compaq Presario computer with "Windows vista home premium".

 

The printer is a Lexmark three in one, X 1270.

 

Can anyone help me out to solve my problem on an urgent basis?

Problem regarding McAfee antivirus protection

Go to > Run > Type services.msc > Search McAfee software and stop. It will disable again and you can start will be enable.

Problem regarding McAfee antivirus protection

In order to turn the   McAfee you have to follow the following procedure

1. In the system tray, right-click the McAfee Virus Scan icon.
2. Select Exit.
3. Depending on your version of McAfee Virus Scan, the menu option may appear as Disable.

McAfee Virus Scan will stay disabled until you restart your computer.
To re-enable McAfee Virus Scan, restart your computer.

1. Another way is to start search (Vista) bar. This should open up the configuration utility
2. Click on the services tab
3. Go through the list and find and uncheck all the McAfee services
4. Hit apply and ok
5. Restart the computer, all McAfee services will be disabled on restart.
6. Install your application
7. Go back to start search (Vista) bar and follow the previous steps and check McAfee services and lastly restart the pc.
