Hi,

The problem is with my archive manager. While uploading a file I received an error message as under. It is indicating that it cannot open .rar file. I tried several ways to make it ok but failed. If you have any idea regarding the problem, please help.

Hello Joseph

There must be some problem with the .rar file. If you cannot access any other .rar file, then you need to install 7Z, another archive tool. This can be done by typing the following command in the terminal:

  • Sudo apt-get install p7zip -full

Hello Joseph,

  • You will need to delete files from archive. Be aware that if the processing of this command causes the removal of all the files from the archive, then the empty archive would removed.
  • After that you will extract files to current directory.
  • And then refresh the files in archive.

I think the software is facing problem to open rar file. You can delete the file from the archives and then you can refresh the archives. Then you can add all the files. That can help you. If that did not work then you need to choose another archive tools. I hope that it will help you.
