Hi Samuel,  released only last Sept 2014, iOS 8 seems to be loaded with a lot of glitches that only a few around 46 % had upgraded to the new version. There’s a case wherein the song lists were available but cannot be played since it just scrolls from one song to another without playing. Not only music was affected but also your pictures and of course your video playlist. Just take note that one should not use your iPhone or sync your mobile device with iTunes after you lost the data because by doing so, it can overwrite your lost date and make it irretrievable. Now, once the application was launched and installed, all you have to do is to connect your phone to your computer, then switch to the advance mode which is located at the bottom of the lower right corner of your screen. Now initiate the Scan to scan the lost files or data.
