Problem description: ESET Error 2878

Hi!

Yesterday I was installing Win ESET (Third Party Security Product), and in the process of installation I got an error message, the error number was ‘Error: 2878’, and the Product Version is 5.X. The wording of that error message is:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2878.

I am attaching the error screen shot with this request; please help me out of this problem. I will be very thankful to you.

Problem description: ESET Error 2878

Hi Colleen,

As the Installer Error window says, there might be a problem with your installer package. To solve this problem, you can download the ESET Installer for Windows on your computer and run it. This ought to solve the problem as ESET is going to give you the legal version of their software with the least possibility of errors.

Hi,

 You may install  ESET Live Installer first. The ESET Live Installer is designed to identify your operating system and will even know its architecture. Then it will automatically proceed with downloading the latest version ESET security product. After downloading , click Run and let the installer wizard guide you through the process.
