Problem with 3D graphics using AVID Media Composer

Greetings!

My team is currently working on a project in making 3D graphics using AVID Media Composer.  It is such a useful program in this line of work; however, we have encountered an error on adding motion effects.

This usually occurs whenever a motion effect is added on Stereoscopic clips. Here is the error message – “A motion control cannot be created from a clip with non- native frame rate'’.  Time warp effects can still be applied but my editor’s instructions were to use motion effects. We urgently need your help because we are already delayed in finishing our deadlines due to this error.

Hellow Rio Allen,

I have realized the matter of incident.Please make sure the following points to solve problem.

  • The motion adapter can be changed to timewrap effects.
  • The motion effect can not be made up by only clicking mouse.
  • You should not freeze frames when the clip is not playing natively.
  • You should mark the frame which is to be fixed.
  • Make sure the motion adapter is promoted with all required adjustment.
  • Sequences can not be changed.

I recommend to use the genuine software.

Thanking You

Hi James;

The problem depends that there is already an effect on your clip. If time-wrap works properly, then delete all the effects and try to drag time-wrap effect by holding alt key and again set the frame rate.

If your sequence consists of mixed-rate clips, motion adapters will automatically applied to them. By using time-wrap effect, motion adapters are scaled-back. To gain access of all the parameters, you need to promote motion adapters in the Motion  effect editor to full time-wrap effect.
