Power Outage Now HD Not Showing Up?

I live in a rural area and our power spikes and goes out quite a bit. This last time after what I think was a power spike my hard drive is not showing up. I have tried running it in safe mode and can not get it to see the drive for anything. Any suggestions?

Hi Lloyd S Lebron

Try to remove your drive from your unit and put other port where you put your drive and try to observe if you hard drive input a power and listen to your hard drive if it makes a startling noise. If there's no power coming from your hard drive, then I suggest you buy a new one. Your hard drive is already broken and there's no way to fix it. Next time you a power regulator or AVR to prevent this from happening again.
