PlayMemories Home fails to start everytime

Hi Expert friends,

Friends recently I bought a Sony handycam, good to take picture and videos. Sony recommend to install playmemories to copy, edit and do some interesting things. So I download the setup and tried it, but I ended in error. The error message says necessary files do not exist or corrupted, so I re-did the entire process again. But the error remains the same, help me to fix the error.

Cannot start PlayMemories Home because the necessary files do not exist or the files are corrupted.

PlayMemories Home fails to start everytime

Hello,

Possibly your temporary files are making trouble.

Go to %temp%. Delete all the files. Then run the setup again.

If that doesn’t fix the issue, you have to get the latest one. Download it from here.

If the problem still exists, right-click on the setup file. Go to Properties >> Compatibility >> check “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” and select any Windows version, for example, Windows Vista SP2. Try other versions gradually.

Also, download any good antivirus and scan your PC first. Viruses also might corrupt the installation system. Also turn your firewall protection off for a few minutes.
