I purchased a new computer with Windows 7 installed on it. Recently, I hooked my device with a wireless Photosmart Premium Fax 309 series and it worked perfectly fine. However, this is not the case when I installed it on my laptop with Windows XP Professional. I do not know what went wrong because it is running well with Windows XP before. Whenever I am trying to install the program, this message appears, “Fatal error MSI netdevice manager01” and the only thing that I modified on my device is a new router as I joined BT Infinity almost a month ago. Can somebody help me please? Thank you!

The modifications that you made on the router may be the ones making the wireless device inaccessible from your laptop that has windows  xp installed on it. Maybe the router configurations that you did were different from the ones that the ones that were on the laptop before, and therefore you will need to reconfigure the wireless settings on the laptop.

Click on network connection settings on your computer >> open network and sharing center >> change adapter settings. In the window that opens, click on wireless connection and choose Internet Protocol Version 4, or version 6 depending on which one you are using. Configure the wireless settings appropriately and then save them.

Try accessing the internet and see if everything works fine.
