Pendrive no longer recognising files- transformed in shortcuts

Yesterday I took my pendrive to work so as to transfer some documents. When I plugged it in my work pc, everything transferred fine and i got no errors whatsoever. I got back home and when I plugged it back it, all my files were now shortcuts. When I check the space used, it still the same but I cannot access any file. Can anyone help me please?

In this case  there are two problems, most likely.
1. Check your computer (from the one you are transferring data) and your pen drive for viruses. Sometimes, due to virus affect, even when files transferred properly from system to hard drive, gets stored as a shortcut. If you do not have much important data stored in your pen drive, i will suggest you to format it before transferring data into it.
2. If there is no virus problem, then the data were not properly transferred to your pen drive or you didn't eject the pen drive properly, after data transfer.
Always eject your pen drive properly after using it.
