I have a PDF files that must be work on time but I found out that the version I used had a limitation in embedding a single page. Why does version 2011 word for mac does not support PDF OLE as its Windows counterpart?

PDF OLE as a windows counterpart

Hi Vonmanuelpalma,

Will when I read your question about your mac I have little bit confused if it’s true. But this what I found when I research that issue. As of version 2011, Word for Mac does not support PDF OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) as its Windows counterparts do.

The PDF support in Word for Mac is limited to embedding a single page. Of course, hyperlinks to external PDF files do work, since this has nothing to do with PDF OLE. Consequently, a PDF file embedded in a Word document on a Windows system (as a clickable icon or a full set of pages) cannot be opened in Word for Mac.

A set of pages embedded from Windows will show as a single page on Mac. This would help. Thanks.
