Can somebody help me out with Installing and configuring of PCMCIA Generic WiFi utility for setting up the pc card in my laptop.

My Laptop is a bit older.

Any Suggestions ?

Hi Sara,

If you can, please follow these simple steps to try to cure your problem.

1. Firstly, allow your Windows to detect your wireless card and to install required drivers.
2. Now click on "Start," then "Control Panel." Click on "Classic View" in the left column.
3. Open "System" panel and click on "Hardware" tab, then "Device Manager". Expand "Network adapters" by clicking on "+" symbol.
4. Double click on your PCMCIA WIFI card. Write down your WIFI card name somewhere and click on it.
5. Click on the "Driver" tab, then select "Update driver".
6. Wait for a few seconds. Windows is searching for updated driver software.

Now just click OK and you should have working and updated WIFI card in your laptop. Alternatively try to find required drivers through internet. Just write down your WIFI card model like in 4. clause into Google search engine and search for them.
