Paint shop pro photo error opening png files

Hello,

I have this error when I want to open a PNG file using image editors. Nothing work starting from Paint and finishing with Paint Shop Pro Photo. I don’t know how to proceed next and can anyone help me please to fix this error ? What is happening with my PC ?

You may have corrupt PNG file. Therefore to fix the error follow the steps below.

  • Open corrupted PNG file with "Microsoft Picture Manager"
  • Select-TIFF-file-format"Micro soft Picture Manager" is a basic image editor.
  • Click on the file and then "Export"
  • From "Export with this file format list" select "TIFF" file format.
  • Now the image will be ready for any image editor.

There is another way to solve the issue.

  • If you have more than one layers then merge the layers.
  • Now click on File > Export > PNG Optimizer 
  • Choose the transparency type you want.
  • Save the image.
