Hey Bristol,

Since you didn't provide me with plenty of explanation I need to ask out something. Did you try the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI)? If no, then first try this method. Let me know if that works or not. Best Regards.

Well yes. I tried the universal installer but it requires me to run a command line code, which I can't because of some unknown reason. So I thought there must be some other way to uninstall.

Well, since you tried the universal installer and didn't get the job done. You have to check every registry parameter/variable associated with oracle to completely uninstall it from your computer.

OK. So what should I do to clear Oracle from my registry? Should I delete Oracle folder from my program files?

No. Deleting the Oracle home folder from program files will not do the whole job. I'm giving you step by step procedure to follow: Please make sure you read them carefully.

Phase: 1

  • From start panel run "run" program and type "regedit".
  • From the registry editor window open "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder.
  • Open "SOFTWARE" folder.
  • In software folder there will be a folder named "ORACLE".
  • 5. Delete the folder.

Phase: 2

  • From the registry editor window open "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder.
  • Open "SYSTEM" folder then open "CurrentControlSet" folder within the system folder.
  • Open "services".
  • Delete all keys related to Oracle. Every key starts with "ORA.." is surely related with oracle.
  • Close the editor window.

Phase:3

  • Now it's time to delete the Oracle base folder.
  • Delete the oracle folder from program files (if exists).
  • Now reboot your computer.
