Options for line-interactive UPS devices

There are a lot of manufacturers for line interactive UPS. To name some APC, Mercury, Puma and Homage are some that you can find online or in market.Usually the backup time varies and it depends on number of factors.

1. The amount of charge that your battery can hold. Batteries are categorized in terms of amperes-hours, which determines how much amperes your battery can provide to a load for one hour continuously. Therefore, a battery with greater ampere-hour rating would provide greater backup.

2. Also depends upon how much load your UPS is driving. For example if your UPS can drive 1000 Watts, and you are only driving 500 Watts, then you will get more backup time. as u are compromising the amount of load driven.
