Not getting SMS updates from Twitter

I have noticed recently that I am not receiving SMS updates from Twitter. Is it due to overloading? I have checked all the settings and the phone number of the contact but still haven't been successful. Please tell me how to tackle this issue and start receiving SMS updates again..

Not getting SMS updates from Twitter

Hi,

If you’ve already verified your settings (time zone, sleep settings and mobile update preferences). Try to un-follow and re-follow a person. Or you might as well try to reset you mobile preferences by texting the keyword “OFF” to your twitter code. Delay a few minutes and text “ON [your username]” to your twitter code.

Not getting SMS updates from Twitter

Hi Avery, 

I believed that overloading is one of the causes of not receiving SMS updates. This is because some Twitter SMS queue is overloaded with text updates, as a result, it may drop. To address this issue, there are things need to consider.

1. Ensure that the phone number is added to your account. You can check it under Settings and then navigate to Mobile tab.

2. Ensure that the specified time zone and online sleep settings are verified and correct.

3. Ensure that the mobile update preferences are set to ON.

4. Ensure that the person you’re following updates are turned ON.
