This error occurs when you are not able to connect to the PSN network. It may be because their server is down, router problem or poor internet connection.

  • Check if PlayStation Network is available or not by visiting the site playstation.com.
  • Go to Network, in the XMB™ Menu select ‘Internet Browser’ and try to browse any website. If it is unable to access then there is some problem with Internet connection. Call your customer service of the concerned company.

If you receive error code “80710092” when you try to play a game on your Sony PlayStation 3, you need to check with the PlayStation Network to see if the service is up or down for maintenance. Head down to the Network Service Status page then select your country or region. If the service is up and running, the PlayStation Network should display the following message:

“All services are up and running.”

If the service is not available, you can try connecting at a later time. On the other hand, if there is no maintenance, on your PlayStation console, go to “Network” then select the internet browser on the XMB menu. Try to access any website to check your internet connection. If your console’s browser can’t access any website, try restarting your router.

If the Wi-Fi router has a power button, press it to turn it off then unplug it from the power for about twenty (20) seconds. Press any button on the router to discharge any leftover power or to power cycle. After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on. If the problem continues, contact your ISP or Internet Service Provider for assistance.
