Nokia Ringtone Sounds Bad When Ringing

I have Nokia Lumia I recently bought. However, the default ringtone is really awful to my ears, I therefore would wish to change it as soon as possible. I prefer changing it to a customized ringtone I already have in my SD card.I am still not familiar with most Lumia features and there I am seeking assistance from any person who has had hands on skills with this model. Please assist?

Nokia Ringtone Sounds Bad When Ringing

You can't directly add ringtone from memory card or even choose ringtone from music player directly. You have to connect your lumia phone to the laptop/desktop and add the ringtone files to the ringtones folder OR you can even try to copy the file from memory card to the ringtone folder.

Note :- On some phones copying from memory card didn't work but copying with the help of laptop/desktop has always worked.

Once copying is done go to your lumia phone 1 go to setting 2 choose ringtones + sounds 3 choose Ringtone. The new file or files you have added will appear under custom and you can choose your ringtone from there.
