Nokia Communicator is a complete business phone. It has Nokia messaging client, quick office, lotus notes email, adobe reader, and zip client which is perfect to use for people in the corporate world. Another feature of the communicator is that it has WiFi connection, Bluetooth and infrared.

I wonder what does CWA sever URL do in configuring Nokia Communicator?

Hi,

Many people have this questions about the value to use for the field configuration server URL (server URL). In Fact this address is provided by the system administrator of your company or provider. This address will be used to identified Communicator Web Access (CWA) that you CoMo will use to connect to the OCS.

The CWA is located between your mobile and the OCS and will act as a gateway, the CoMo will translates HTTP requests to and / or from the OCS actions.

So you can see that if you intend to use the service CoMo for Nokia, it is mandatory to configure this address. The picture below will illustrates what is stated above.

Internet

Thank you.

Hi Minty!

CWA's "Server URL" field is used for Nokia users to enter the OCS's CWA server URL. Many users are misunderstood this field as they enter a wrong input like entering, IP address, FQDN or Fully Qualified Domain Name.

To fill in this field you have to ask for your OCS's CWA server URL on your system administrator.
