Nokia 5130-c2 switching off frequently

I Have a Nokia 5130 c-2 Xpress music. The problem with the phone is it gets switched off suddenly. The screen gets blank first and again to get a display I need to restart the phone. I've tried using many batteries, but same is the case.

Please Help.

Hi Ramyanth,

It happen when the system files of your phone are become corrupted, or a case of damaged memory card, or got infected by a virus. If the case is the first one you may try reset your phone to default settings. Change your memory card and use antivirus software.

Try to insert the battery and the SD card on a different mobile phone and check if it will work properly. If there are no issues, connect your Nokia phone to your computer using the PC Suite and check for software updates. If it still doesn't work and your phone is still under warranty, you can bring it to the Nokia Care and they will fix it free of charge.

The problem is occurred when the software crashed. If you want a solution, you need to reinstall the new version software. If you can do that, your phone will work nicely. So try this option and thank you for asking the question. I am happy to solve that question.

The Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is a discontinued 2G mobile phone operating on 2G network band using GSM technology. It was announced to the public on November 2008 and released on February 2009 measuring 107.5 x 46.7 x 14.8 millimeters and weighing 88 grams. It uses mini-SIM card and has 256K colors display at 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution.

It supports microSD expandable up to 16 GB. Phonebook supports 2000 entries with Photocall and supports call records. It has 30 MB internal storage. The primary camera supports 2 megapixels and QCIF video recording at 15 fps. There is no secondary camera. It has 3.5-millimeter jack featuring Dedicated music keys, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, stereo FM radio with RDS support, and microUSB 2.0.

It doesn’t have support for Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. The pre-installed web browser supports WAP 2.0/XHTML and HTML with Adobe Flash Lite support. Java is supported via MIDP 2.1. It runs on removable BL-5C Li-Ion 1020 mAh battery with standby time up to 288 hours and talk time up to 6 hours. It is available in Red, Blue, and White Aqua (exclusive for T-Mobile only) colors.

If your phone turns off very frequently, try factory reset in the settings.
