The Sumatra PDF Portable 2.1.1 Is the easy handling PDF reader software. Can I convert ward to PDF by it?

Hi Rodriguezscotte,

Sumatra pdf viewer is a good pdf viewer application with the new version have a lot of features including:

Its support for EPUB eBook format, multi-page TIFF files, TGA images, CBZ metadata, JPEG XR images, Plus the ability to rename the currently viewed file.

But Converting from WORD to PDF is not one of these features.

There are some great softwares that can convert WORD to PDF like WORD TO PDF which you can get a free 14 days trial from their website: https://www.wordtopdf.com/

Using wordtopdf is actually a simple job of just browsing to your word documents and then choosing the destination folder and pressing convert to find your PDFs ready.

New Sumatra PDF Portable 2.1.1

Sumatra PDF is a free, powerful, flexible, and portable application that can open files such as PDF, XPS, eBook, DjVu, comic book, and CHM for Microsoft Windows. For eBook, it can open ePub and Mobi and for comic book it can open CBZ and CBR file types. The program starts up fast and has a very simple user interface. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. If you have a Unix, you can install it using Wine.

It is a free, open source program which can be downloaded. You may also download it from its official blog site. Its official blog site offers both the portable and the full version of Sumatra PDF.

If you are wondering if you can convert a file into PDF format using Sumatra PDF, I don’t think it’s possible. It is only designed to open supported file types but not to convert any of them.
