hi avah

No, its wrong, the new iPad has improved battery life for the fact that new iPad has 42 watt-hours versus 25-watt-hours for iPad2. The increased battery capacity is used up to power enhanced components (Retina display and LTE networking technology), hence maintaining same battery life as 10 hours on Wi-Fi, 9 hours on cellular data of the previous iPad.
Though I have obsered it taking quite longer to charge new iPad.

Hope it works
