Hello to all,

I am a traveler. I spend about 3 – 4 hours of traveling every day. With me is my netbook who can stay on for about 3 hours. I wanted to use this netbook as an mp3 player. But the problem is, whenever I close the laptop lid, my Netbook then hibernates. And the music will also turn off. Is it possible to let the netbook stay turned on even the lid is close?

Having this problem is easy to fix. Go into BIOS setup and find the optimal section. Look to enable / disable selection for monitor standby mode.

Check also the hibernate function through system settings. Disable it when you are travelling. It will be best to try this after selecting disable then apply. After that, restart your computer and presto. You can now use your notebook as MP3 Player.

Dear Grace Hunwick,

It is possible to use your netbook as an mp3 player during Traveling. To use netbook as an mp3 player just follow the below steps:

1. 1st Go to the taskbar and click on battery bar.
