Nero Burning ROM Error Message

Hello TechyV members!

I think something might be wrong either with my pc or the Nero 9 I have just installed. I can't burn either CDs or DVDs, and when I look at the drives  I can't access them.

Please help with this problem, I need the CDs soon.

If you are running Nero burning software via Windows Remote Login, you might not be able to access your drives for burning. This is a security restriction from Windows.

Nero Burning ROM Error Message

Hello there,

Well first of all are you running Nero in Administration mode with administrative rights? If No just right click on Nero and select run as administrator and then check. Also you can edit the Group policies. Start the Group Policy editor and then just change the value of the settings and also Enable direct access in all Remote sessions. Now exit the group policy editor and check. I am sure this time you'll be able to burn a CD or a DVD without any errors. Hope this work. Good Luck,

Nero Burning ROM Error Message

Hi Edith,

Your nero burning software could be corrupt, or you do not have administrative privileges with the account you are logged on with. So check to ensure that you are logged on as the administrator of the computer that you are using.

But if the DVD drive does not show then there should be a problem with it, I will advise that you check the cable connecting the drive to the motherboard to ensure that it is connected properly, for if it is not plugged well in the sockets, then it will not work. If the drive may have failed completely, you may have to replace it.

Otherwise you can try using another burning software, for instance ashampoo and see if the problem is solved.
