I have forgotten the password of a Word document. I have been trying to remember it but could not. Can anyone please help me in Word 2010 Password Recovery?
To be very honest, password removal in a word document is very tough. There are many tools available online that promise to recover the password but mostly fail. You can try this tool.
1) Download the Password Removal Software from

2) Follow the steps and wait till the software tries to recover the password.
3) If found, well and good. If not, You can try to remove the password rather than trying to recover it.
a. Rename the Word file to convert into “ZIP” file.
b. Extract the ZIP file to a folder.
c. Look for a file wordsettings.xml.
d. Right-click on it and select edit.
e. Find a line "w:documentprotection".
f. Delete or Cut that line and resave the file.
g. Rename it to convert it back to DOC file and open the file.
