Need help, Silverlight media player crashing

Why is my Microsoft Silverlight Media player crashing? I am recently experiencing that my Microsoft Silverlight player is crashing whenever I tried to access office web apps most especially PowerPoint with graphics in gif format. The Silverlight player seem to be working fine if am not accessing web apps. What could be the cause of this behavior?

Need help, Silverlight media player crashing

Try to uninstall your Microsoft Silverlight and download and install latest version from Microsoft web site. The current latest version is 5.0.

Go to control panel > programs > select Microsoft Silverlight from the list and click in uninstall

Restart your computer after uninstall.

Then download and install the latest version of Silverlight.

I also highly recommend you to download and install some internet plugins like Adobe Shockwave Player and Java.
