I purchased an HP 32 GB touchpad for my daughter's birthday and I wonder if I can install a touchplayer for it?

She wants to play mkv HD movies, is there any settings I need to change to it so I can play them on the touchpad?

Do I need to compress and convert files for her to play HD movies using the touch player on her touchpad?

Hi Lorin,

 

You can do the following steps to solve your concern.

 

I will make the instruction simple for you so that you can easily install the touch player to your HP Touch Pad.

 

First, you will need to download KalemSoft Media Player by going to this link

 

Look for KalemSoft Media Player v0.7.5 which is developed for TouchPad device.

 

Once the download is finished, the installer will open in Preware, you need to install it.

 

When the installation is done, open the Media Player, tap Local Media and navigate to the video files that you would like to play.

 

The supported files are as follows: DivX, XviD, WMV and MKV

I think it was designed mainly for web browsing and they don't offer many apps.

You will need to go through several steps to be able to play MKV on your touchpad, like changing or converting some codes using a video converter.

There are websites and tools that could help you do this and hopefully solve your problem.
