Hi there,

Please tell us about your system, which anti-virus do you use? What is the version of your Skype? Is your internet explorer is working OK? Also please check your internet connection.

Now if you are not using a Norton anti-virus and your Skype version is above 5.8 then it is OK. Now follow the steps instructed below, I hope your problem will be solved.

1. Select control panel from start menu.

2. Now select internet options and a new box will appear.

3. Select advance tab and click on reset.

4. Now select the connection tab.

5. Check if the automatic detect settings checkbox is checked or not. If not then check that and click OK.

6. Now restart the computer and connect to the internet.

Please let us know what result you got.

Best regards,

Riley Weaver.

You may try the following solutions as this issue may occur due to various reasons:

2. Try to launch your browser and see if you can actively browse the Internet without any issues. This is to identify if you are having issues with your Internet Connection or with your Skype application.
