It is a common problem in PC. It happens from many years. Many software creates this kind of problem. Many softwares cannot match with the PC. So, sometimes It creates many problem thus your windows hangs. Or, sometimes it because of your slow RAM. Low RAM computers often hangs. Or, sometimes it because of the virus of your computer. Computer often hangs when you play the games which data are not well organized. sometimes when you play games your PC hangs. So, use those softwares which matches with your PC. If you do not have enough RAM I am suggesting you to increase your PC RAM.And don't play the games which data is error or corrupted.

  • If you are working or running in particular software, you may try to uninstall and reinstall the software. Doing this will help you to fix the software’s library files which sometimes possibly corrupted.
  • And if you are working just within your operating system, and no third party applications are running, try to fix your operating system using the CHKDSK /F command on the command prompt. Also helps if you scan your computer with anti-virus software and clean possible virus infections.
  • If all the time, anywhere you are, the system hangs-up. Disassemble your computer system and check for the memory modules. Remove the memory from the slot then erase the pins until it looks gold then put it back on the slot and test your system. Replacing of the memory is our last option if all things done without a luck.

If your computer unexpectedly freezes while you’re working, press and hold on the power button on the CPU to force it to shut down. When the CPU turns off, wait about 10 to 20 seconds before turning it on again. Then before the Windows logo appears, press F8 to access the Windows Advanced Boot Options.

In the Advanced Boot Options screen, select “Last known good configuration” then hit Enter to boot. Restart whatever it is you are doing and check if it fixes the problem. When you need to open multiple applications when working and your system gets slower and slower, try increasing your computer’s virtual memory.

When your computer starts to slow down, it is a sign that the page file usage is past 50% or the virtual memory is at 50%+ of its usage level. Because I use a system monitor on my computer, I always notice this issue when the page file usage is climbing more than 50% and it’s really getting problematic when the usage reaches 75%.

This problem happens when your computer has low physical RAM and the computer is forced to transfer data to the page file to balance the load. This only happens when you open multiple programs at the same time but if you open only one or two, I don’t think you will have a problem. One solution is to add more RAM.
