My PC is becoming tooo hot will it stop working now?

Hi guys,

I have windows vista and I'm using this PC since 4 years now though its working all well but is getting too hot some times and the CPU speed goes to 90 & 100 very soon now a days. So do you think it will stop working any time. Any suggestions so that I can backup my important data.

Hello,

There are many causes that your PC might become hot so soon. It could be either hardware issue, junk issue or software problem.

First, check your CPU for any junk. Open the casing, remove all the dusts with any soft brush. Don’t do hurry, do this task with care and consciously as it might harm any hardware components and cause critical damage.

Make sure that the ventilation system of your CPU is perfect, no dust is making the path closed. You can use heavy wind to do this job, but don’t use hair drier. This will damage all IC and cause huge damage.

Tune up the heat sink of your processor. It’s the most temperature part that generates the hot situation. There are thermal pastes available on the market. Buy a tube and set it on the processor’s heat sink. Don’t make it very dump or the paste doesn’t exceed the area of heat sink otherwise the processor will go dumb and a piece of junk.

Next, it’s time to check for software issue. Check your BIOS settings for any issue. Load BIOS to default settings. Also, check up your PC with any good antivirus so that no viruses are doing these.

If the case is serious, contact the nearest expert engineer to solve this issue.

There are a few reasons why your PC is getting too hot.

1.  Check that your PC is getting air flow. If it`s not, then try to keep the CPU on that place where it can get the air flow.

2. Clean your PC. You can use a Blower for this purpose.

3. If you are still facing the problem, then you should create a backup of your data.

In this case your PC might have an issue with its Power supply or CPU fan.
