Hi and good day TechyV users!

 

I have a with my MacBook Air 11. It seems that it has bad sectors. So, may I ask you. How to solve my MacBook air 11 bad sector problem? Is there any tool that can help me detect and repair the bad sectors of the Hard Disk Drive?

My Macbook Air 11 bad sector problem.

Good day Elizabeths Land

There are a few apps you can use to repair your disk from bad sectors.

Start with the built in disk utility.

 

Go to Applications, Utilities, Disk utilities.

When this window appears, click on First Aid and select your disk in the top left.

 

This example is the disk Macintosh HD.

Now go to the bottom left and repair the verify and repair permissions. This will only repair the permissions and not the disk.

When finished click on the bottom right to first verify then repair button.  This will repair your bad sectors on your hard drive.

There is another app for your problem called S.M.A.R.T utility. This app will alert you about a possible problem. You can download it from:
