I turned on my windows pc laptop this evening and realized that all my desktop icons are missing. I have tried refreshing, restarting my system but none of these attempts seem to solve this. Could it mean I have lost my data? Please is it possibel to recover any?
My Desktop Icons Have Disappeared
On your computers desktop, do the following:

Right-click on the desktop

Select View >> Show Desktop Icons
After you have done this, your icons should automatically reappear on the desktop
If you have too many icons on your desktop, they can sometimes overlap. If this is the problem, try the steps below:

Right-click on your desktop

Click View >> Auto Arrange

Turn the Auto Arrange option off by clicking on it and then turn it back on by clicking on it again
This will arrange all your icons to be seen on the screen.
