My 4GB USB can’t be opened and formatted?

My 4GB USB Flash Drive appears in, My Computer but it does not work. If I try to open it , it shows a message, " Do you want to format the drive? ".

If I try to format it , format process also fails. Is there any solution to that?

It happens mostly when you shut down your computer when the USB flash drive is still attached. Try using Information recovery Software such as USB recovery Software. Review to see that the drive is attached to the computer, and remove it. Be certain that the disk is not a read-only, and then try again.

Recovery is healthy to improve files that were deleted when you reformatted your disk, removable hard disk, memory card, flash drives and pen track. It is totally speedy and restores deleted files after accidentally removing it. It does not affect the regularized formatting or impulsive info that you performed. It can return files yet have the cover formatted twice.

You can follow these steps.

At first, scan your USB with an updated Antivirus. Because virus may turn your files into write-protected mode.

• If that doesn't work, then try the USB recovery software.
• If the problem continues, then there may be a problem with the hardware of the device. In that case, you may contact your dealer if the warranty is still valid.

Hi, good day,

• This issue is due to some virus attack in the USB Flash drive.  That’s why you cannot open your file or you cannot format the USB flash drive.  To resolve this kind of issue, first, scan your USB flash Drive using NOD32 Antivirus. Right click the USB Flash Drive >>> Advance option >>> then Clean file.
• If this issue is not solved,  find another computer, then insert your USB flash drive and right click the flash drive. Then, format your USB flash drive and it will work.

Sometimes, it happens that your drive can not be formatted or opened because of some boot problems !  But don't you worry. All you have to do is that there must be 1 application process that will be working behind Task Manager.  This means just close the program attached to your USB! Follow the steps below:

TaskManager >> Process >> End The Assosiated Task !

Then it will be formatted!
