MikTex Installation error code 3101

Hello,

I have been trying to install MiKTeX, a typesetting system that consists of an implementation of TeX and a set of related programs.

When I started the installation, I got the following error on my screen:

The error reads as:

3101: Substituted line too long. (>255 characters)

On line:

DriveReport=”%Drivereport%%@TAB%%nextDrive%%a%Mbyte free”

WinBatch 32 2003F

WIL Version: 4.0fda

Your help is required to remove this error and install the software successfully. I have tried hard but all in vain. Looking forward to your suggestions.

MikTex Installation error code 3101

Hello Ammelia,

The first thing you will need to do is check the system specifications of your computer. It seems like the MikTex application that you are trying to install is a 32 bit, and therefore for it to install without bringing an issue the OS must be 32 bit too. If the OS is 64 bit, you will need to get a MikTex application that is 64 bit too.
