Microsoft Excel for Mac version clarification

Good day to you!

Please guide me, I'm a little bit blur of this matter.

I owned a Mac which uses Microsoft excel 2008 with an extension of xlsx.

What is the extension for the latest Microsoft Excel on windows for Mac version 12.1.0?

Microsoft Excel for Mac version clarification

Hi Florjane,

I have some information and ideas and I am looking forward to answer and help you. As I read your question regarding of the latest extension for MS Excel on windows for Mac version here some guide of extension; .xlsx is the extension for excel workbook, for templates the extension are .xls and .xltx. And if you are pertaining to workbook the latest is .xlsx and for Excel Macro-enabled workbook is .xlsm and for template is .xltx and for Excel Macro-Enabled template is .xltm and for excel Add-In is .xlam. Additional information, If you are trying to send .xlsx some of your recipient will have problem in opening file and i suggest to change the extension file. The new MS Excel you can also save file in other extension file and i think their will be a choices in choosing the file as "save as" and try to open it and then try to send to them if they can open it.
