MeGui AviSynth script creator error

Asked By 0 points N/A Posted on -

I have been recently started using MeGui on windows vista 32 bit, and I am experiencing some issues.

I recently tried to open a video file using AviSynth script creator, but I got an error.

The screenshot of the error is as follows:

Cannot open video input

The message states:

Cannot open video input

The filedirectshowsource (“C:filesmoviesthemadagscar penguins in a Christmas caper.avi”, audio=false) cannot be opened. Please make sure it’s a valid Avisynth script and that Avisynth is properly installed.

To sort out the issue, I updated MeGui to 1041 and I also tried MeGui 1020, but twice I was met with the same error. Then I also reinstalled avisynth but in vain.

Can anyone please guide me how to remove the error and play the video successfully?

I'll be really grateful.

MeGui AviSynth script creator error

Hi John,

The error could be as a result of a damaged file; the file you are trying to play might be damaged. Try playing it with other media players. If other media players can't play it, the file is probably damaged.

If the file isn't damaged, follow the instructions on the error box (the image you uploaded).

If the problem still isn't solved, uninstall and re-install MeGui AviSynth script creator.

If this doesn't work, upgrade your antivirus software and scan your system for viruses, a virus might have tampered with some files in MeGui AviSynth script creator. After the update, scan your system for viruses.

Finally, the last option if all these doesn't work is to restore your system to  a previous time.

I hope you find this information useful.
