Hi robert ,

I think you are having trouble with Internet explorer . First of all no one uses Internet explorer, the world had moved on to more flexible and fast browser. The best browsers available are Google chrome and Mozilla Firefox. But Mozilla Firefox consumes a lot of memory and at time freezes and crashes. They release nowadays each version in a week or so and that too annoying.

I personally recommend using Google chrome and i am really enjoying its fast and easy features. Please note that McAfee doesn't support old versions of Internet explorer. Only IE 7 +.

I suggest moving on to Google chrome.

Good luck, hope this solves your problem.

Browser Supported by McAfee.

  • Firefox 3.5
  • Firefox 3.6
  • Internet Explorer 7.0
  • Internet Explorer 8.0

I wonder what version of McAfee are you using. If you are in the current version, then try reinstalling IE 8. Make IE the default web browser. You may download and install Firefox at:

Try to make Firefox as your default web browser and try again. At Times some DLL files go missing which create such problems. So please take care of reinstallation. Obtain a Genuine copy.

You can also try other anti viruses such as Kaspersky, Avira, Avast. And in above all of it try other OS like Linux or Mac OS. No viruses.

Thanks.
