Make Your Browser Secure: Export Internet Explorer Security Settings

Hi. Internet Explorer has its security settings so that no malicious websites can be accessed or private data cannot be accessed by an unauthorized party. However, the more frequently used the site; the more is its security. So, users find the need to sometimes export the security settings so that all the sites have an equal privacy setting and therefore their task of accessing and using them becomes easier. The steps to export internet explorer security settings are as follows-

1) The internet settings are stored in the registry

2) To access the registry, click on the start button, then type run and in the command prompt write Regedit. Then press enter

3) Then from the file menu click on export and then click on all option from under the export range. Save the file as back_up.reg

4) Navigate to the key where the internet settings are stored

5) To export the keys from zone map and zones, right-click and then click on export

6) Save the exported keys as zone_map.reg and zones.reg

7) When these keys get exported, copy the reg files to another computer

8) Create a backup on the second machine as well

9) Close the editor

10) Now, double-click on both the files and then in the dialog box that appears, click on yes

11) In case anything wrong happens, there is always a backup file that you created with the name back_up.reg. Double-click on it and then in the dialog box that appears, click on yes
