Macros created in Excel 2007 for Win supporting Excel 2011 for Mac

 I want to know whether the macros, which were created in Excel 2007 for Win, support Excel 2011 for Mac. Can anyone help me?

Macros created in Excel 2007 for Win supporting Excel 2011 for Mac

Hello Robyne,

It may be a bit hard for the excel hard that have been created in windows to work well on the excel in mac, but there can be created in a way that they can work for both platforms. To make the macros usable on both windows and mac, you will to create the macro using the windows active-X controls. And also ensure that when you are creating the macro you stick to the standard features and avoid the windows-only features which will make the macros not usable on mac.

Also when assigning the button from the Forms toolbar, you should check to ensure that the macros are assigned correctly, by using the CTRL-click on the button, and then choose to assign the macro.
