MacBook turned off on connecting USB cable

Hi! I have a problem with my MacBook. I once plugged in a USB cord, it suddenly turned off. I then connected the adapter and it gave off a dim green light. My MacBook wouldn’t switch on since the incident occurred; not even the fan or the light. I have tried using the combination of keys Ctrl+Command+Power but it didn’t get me anywhere. Please help me figure this out. Thank you.

Hellow William_Jefferies,

There are some reasons for the sudden power off the MAC book.

  • Your MAC Book might be used for overtime and cause overheating.
  • Your USB device might not be responded
  • USB Device might be infected with powerful spywares .

Now you can do the following to get rid of this problem.

  1. Remove the  power adapter from the Mac for several seconds.
  2. Shutdown the Mac. Physically remove and re-insert the battery (if it's removable) and startup the Mac.

If the issue is still not resolved  an System Management Controller should be reset .

Best Regards
